Hi AVS, 100% correct. The second one—"the eye"—is impulsive and jumps to conclusions without applying our mind. For example, we see an ad featuring, say, Sachin or Dhoni endorsing a product, and we immediately crave it because it has been endorsed by them. The eye tempts us, and we jump to decide things.

The Brain's Approach

The other—the brain—wants to know, that is, it evaluates, weighs the pros and cons, and then decides to buy or not. It is slow before it takes a decision. That is why there is a proverb in English which says, "All that glitters is not gold." We should not be carried away by what we see. Eyes are deceptive.

The Impact of First Impressions

Many girls and boys spoil their lives because they fall in love "at first sight." At that point in time, they are impressed by the outward appearance and not the inside stuff the person is made up of. As a result, many love marriages also end in failure. As another English proverb says, they experience, "Marry in haste, but repent at leisure!"

I would like to add one more thing: "Sitting idle and doing nothing" are two very different things. A person who is sitting idle may be doing some meditation, but a person doing nothing is a very negative thing.
