Our organization is registered with ESIC. From our account ledger, we have found that we have paid some charges towards maintenance, repairing, and labor work for the previous year. We have paid these charges to various companies/contractors for different work like labor work, maintenance work, and repairing work. These parties are not registered with ESIC, so there is a liability for us to pay ESIC for said expenses. We also wish to pay this ESIC amount before the preparation of the balance sheet.

Before the start of the online ESIC payment facility, we regularly paid the payable amount with a hard copy of the ESIC challan. However, after the start of the online facility for ESIC, there is no option online to generate such a type of challan. Yes, there is an option for an omitted wages challan, but it clearly states in the instructions that:

"Miscellaneous Challan should be created only for payment towards 'Omitted Wages' which was identified subsequent to the Inspection of ESIC official. Payment by Employers towards any other dues will not be adjusted."

The bank is only accepting online/system-generated challans.

Now, what is the option for us to generate an online challan for this type of expense? Please share with me if somebody has successfully paid this type of challan. It will be helpful to those who are facing the same difficulty.

Thanks
