I completed my graduation from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, a government-affiliated university in Chennai, through distance learning. I took my exams via lateral entry, which means completing all three years in one attempt. MS University has approved study centers across India, and I took my exams through one of these centers. Although I have successfully cleared my graduation, I have some concerns about the authenticity of the documents. I want to verify that the documents were indeed issued by the University and are not fake, given that I obtained them from the study center.

Steps to Verify Document Authenticity
Second, you just need to contact your University or any authorized local center for this. Also, you can visit the university if you are still not satisfied because this is a question of career and education. The very first step you need to take is to contact your University Administration and Records for that. They can verify the dispatch and acknowledge the same. There is no need to go elsewhere than taking these steps.
Personal Experience
I have seen the same with one of my friends from Delhi University (Correspondence). When she received her marksheet, it did not look like an original document. However, later, when she visited the contact center, she found it to be original, and her worries were just because of a conscious mind as she had never seen the original documents, and the dispatch took a long time to reach her.
But you also can't take a risk; therefore, you just need to contact your University Center.

Dear Anil, Thank you for your reply. I am worried because I received my mark sheet after one year, and I suspect the dates are fraudulent as I believe that a 7 has been altered to look like a 2. Furthermore, I have verified my results on the university website.

Dear Shweta, please provide more explanation so that we can understand the situation better. Have you checked the results through the link that I provided? If you have, could you please outline the differences between the two results?
Thank you.

There are no differences; only the date mentioned on top of the certificate looks fake. It appears that the number 7 has been altered to look like a 2 through scanning. I have two documents—one is a mark sheet, and the other is provisional. The marks are the same as those mentioned on the website.
Hopefully, if I can view my marks on the university website, it should confirm that the mark sheet is authentic.

Shweta
