Understanding the Need for Multiple Licenses

We have both the Contract Labour Licence and ISMW Licence. Why do we need to have both? If we have both licenses, should we count the engagement of all or only for contract labour license engagement? Why?

Staff Inclusion Under Labour Licence

Do staff (Site Manager, Engineer, Admin, HR, Store, Safety, Dy. Mgr) come under the Labour Licence or not? Will the staff be mentioned in the ISMW Wage Register or not?

Kindly do the needful.

A contract labor license is obtained to engage contract laborers who are recruited through Form XIII of the Act. Employees who are on the permanent payroll of the company are not covered under the contract labor license. The principal employer, where you undertake jobs, is responsible for ensuring statutory compliance for contract laborers only.

Thank you.

My name is Basu, and I work as an HR professional. I have applied for the renewal of our factory Labour License under the commercial establishment category. The commissioner has informed me that a license is not required for a factory (manufacturing unit). Could you please confirm if this information is correct? Please contact me at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons] for any clarifications.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Basu
