Dear sir, can anyone tell me how to submit an online ESIC half-yearly return? If a person has joined and left the company in the same half-yearly time period, what should we mention: his date of exit or his date of entry?

You do not need to submit ESIC half-yearly returns online, as the ESIC website is designed in such a way that you can generate half-yearly returns based on the monthly returns filing. However, if you have more than 40 employees, you must upload the Chartered Accountant Certificate. To do this, please use the SELF CERTIFICATION link on the ESIC website.
Regarding employee entry and exit, your monthly filed returns will take care of this.

Mohan.

Dear Sir, we don't have more than 40 employees in our company. Can you clarify whether I need to submit ESIC half-yearly returns online? If not, how would I be able to generate half-yearly returns based on the monthly returns filing?

As discussed with the ESIC Social Security Officer in our area, you do not need to file half-yearly returns. These returns are generated automatically and can be verified by ESIC officials using the "VIEW RC" link on the ESIC website.

Thank you very much. I have one more doubt. The contribution for February that was supposed to be paid in March was made by us after the 21st of March due to some reasons. When I checked the return contribution, it did not mention the contribution for February. What should I do?

As you mentioned, I observed the same by opening "view RC." In that October-March 2012 contribution, it was showing contributions until January 2012 only.
Question on Employee Exit During Contribution Period
I have one more question: If an employee leaves the company during the contribution period, how should I indicate it?
