I am attaching the budget speech (Part-II) given by the Maharashtra Finance Minister on 26.3.2012 along with highlights for your information.
Key Points to Note:
- Online verification of input tax credit facility will be made available to dealers shortly.
- C forms will be issued in electronic form.
- Dealers will not be able to upload returns without payment of a late fee of Rs. 5,000/-.
- In case of branch transfers outside the State, the setoff will be reduced by 4% instead of 2% from 1.4.2012.
- Stamp duty on conveyance deeds will be increased to 3% in the case of areas under Grampanchayats, 4% in the case of Municipal Councils, and 5% for other urban areas including Municipal Corporations.
