Friends,
It was a pleasure meeting each other again on the 19th. The participation number was good and encouraging. But the activities organized by Sarika made the entire group more active.
It was disappointing to see that despite mail confirmations, many members did not turn up for the meet. We were very thrilled by seeing mails like "take my confirmation," "I will be there," "see you on Sunday" kind of mails, but when it comes to the D-Day, many members send regret messages. Of course, we definitely understand the personal priorities and exigencies (as I myself was missing for 3-4 meets), but it would have been nice if all the members were present for the meet. Let's hope for the best next time.
Here is the summary of the 19th Meet.
Sarika started a session on "Creativity & Innovation," which was very well received by all the members present. She portrayed her creativity right from arranging the "Smilies" with a pen-stand. The presentation went on very well for 45 minutes with lots of active interaction. All the members came up with very creative thinking about their names. Really good one.
Next was a Team Building Exercise conducted by Sarika - passing the ring to the next member from taking it through your body... was really enjoyable, and we enjoyed the game in drizzling. Sarika has already shared her PPT with all.
Kudos to Sarika for such a wonderful session. Thanks to Hanu for bringing the LCD. (I was constantly warning him about the LCD bulb).
After the presentation, we had a nice break of 15 minutes with Chai & Samosas. Hope everyone enjoyed them.
The second session was taken by Ravindra Varma on "Implementing creativity in the workplace - doing things in a smarter way."
Ravindra gave some very good personal experiences and requested other members to share their experiences.
Geetha Murthy, Sirish, Kishore, Shankar, Prabhakar, and others shared their experiences on any project which they have handled in a smarter way, which are really useful for all of us.
We ended this session by 5.45 pm.
After a nice group snap (courtesy Bhaskaran sir), we dispersed at 6.15 pm.
Photographs of this session will be uploaded by Satya shortly.
As discussed with members, we would like to include the following issues in our coming meets.
- Applied Best Practices from their organization to be shared by each member.
- Activities happened in the respective organization during the last 30 days to be shared.
- Any achievements, promotions, etc., to be shared.
Finally, we would like to thank each and every member who made it possible to join us on a Sunday afternoon and luckily no one took a nap... :)
We really pity all the members who could not join us as they missed a very good interactive session.
Request you all to participate in the next meet without fail.
Regards,
Prabhakar
