Dear Vineet, Normally it is 58 yrs or as mentioned in the appointment letter. There is no such (labour) Act which says about retirement age of employees in private sector.

Please do not create more confusion related to the original question, i.e., the age of retirement. The Age of Retirement (AOR) is as per the Model Standing Orders, Certified Standing Orders, or as per the agreements between Management and Union. You are all requested to please go through the provisions under the standing orders. Be studious.

there is no upper cap on retirement age in private sector. In developed world, people with good health are doing enviable jobs at 73.
