Retirement Age in the Private Sector

Normally, the retirement age in the private sector is 58 years. The specific age, however, depends on the company policy and the conditions outlined in your appointment letter.

Are you working on a retainer basis or as a consultant? Please specify.

If you are above 58 years of age, you do not need to contribute towards the FPF. If your employer deducts the PF, the entire amount should be deposited into your PF account and not to the FPF.
