I would like to know if an HR professional and an employee join a new organization where there is currently no HR. If the new HR needs to fill out the ESI paperwork for the new employee, what is the procedure? Which form does HR have to fill out, and to whom does it need to be submitted? Kindly revert with your answer ASAP.

Regards,
Gagan.

ESI and PF Declaration Forms

You have to fill out the ESI Declaration Form 1 for all ESI-covered employees, and you can get the temporary identity card from your online registration. Similarly, you can submit the ESI form at the local office.

For PF, you have to fill out the PF Declaration Form 2 and submit it to the PF department.

Dear Madhavi and Gurupreeti, you can refer to the EPFO and ESIC websites for understanding the procedures. All the necessary forms are uploaded on the websites, which will give you a clear idea about the procedures and the need for such forms. Also, the "Workmen's Compensation Act" is now referred to as the "Employees Compensation Act."

Cheers!
Abhishek
