EPFO Contribution Delay Assistance Needed
Recently, we registered with EPFO (employer category) in June, but we could not submit the contribution by the 15th of July for the June salary into the bank. This was due to me being out of station. Please assist me with the necessary actions.

Dear Vashi, Please arrange to pay this immediately. You can pay up to the 21st. No need to worry about the penalty now. Pay the contribution amount through a challan. The penalty amount will be intimated through a separate letter from EPFO. But, avoid such delays in the future.

Vivek, you have, by means of error, done this. Correct your default by first paying the challan for the designated amount to the nearest treasury branch of SBI.
EPFO Penalties and Interest
EPFO, from time to time, raises a demand for penal damages under Section 14-B and interest under Section 7-Q for delayed remittances. You may pay the same as per the actual delayed days. Later on, the interest and damages cease to be levied once the payment of regular contributions is made.
Should you require any further clarification, please feel free to call me.
