Hi all, Since business scenario is not good our management is decide to extended the probation for all employees. Can any one send me the format of sample letter for probation extension?

You may design your format, and the content will be: "On reviewing your performance, management has decided to extend your probation for another ___ months."

You have to deliver these letters before the completion of the probation of your employee. The letter should be short and precise, with a date and reference number, along with the signature of the authorized signatory.

I think we can’t extend the probation of the employees because of our business scenario , unless it is because of the employee performance issue. Seniors can you please correct me about this.

I agree with Vani; the extension of probation should not be granted because of business scenarios. When a person is on probation, the company has to review their individual performance only. Based on that, management may confirm or extend the probation period of a particular employee. For a group of employees, it is not legally correct. Management may postpone annual increases accepted for all employees, but probation can't be extended as such.
