It is a good post, but if you want to see them in real life, come to Alipore Zoo in Kolkata. You will see ligers, tigons (tiger + lioness), and litigons (lion + tigon).
Most hybrid animals are sterile since they have an uneven number of genes, i.e., paired genes and unpaired genes. For example, the mule is sterile. The tigon is the only hybrid animal that has been able to breed, and that too in India. Unfortunately, we lack knowledge about them because the government is very apathetic towards our success, heritage, and culture.
