Hi Everyone,
I worked with an employer for 2.4 years. Unfortunately, due to my health problems, I had to admit to the hospital for 1 month's time. After that, I submitted my medical certificates, doctor's prescription, and everything to my TL and asked him for one more week of leave as I had to take bed rest. They said it's okay and told me to report to work after 1 week.
I did go to the office after 1 week, and now they say they have referred me back to HR. During this period, my TL and manager left the company as the process I was working on was about to shut down.
I went to HR, and they said they have marked me as absconding. I informed them that I had already submitted the medical documents to my TL, but they asked me to get them. I spoke to my TL, who mentioned keeping my medical documents in the cupboard. Another TL from my process searched for them but couldn't find them.
I relayed the same information to HR, but they are not believing me. I also offered to arrange for my TL to speak to them, but they mentioned that my TL had already left the organization, and there was no point in having him speak to them. They insisted on needing the documents, which unfortunately were original and had been provided to my TL.
I spoke with HR, the Process Manager, and the HR Manager regarding this issue, but they have not been helpful. I also expressed my willingness to pay my notice period amount, but they mentioned that they had already sent the termination letter and cannot provide me with a relieving letter.
I am in need of my relieving letter urgently. Despite my numerous requests, the situation remains unresolved.
Anyone from this forum, please suggest what steps I can take to obtain my relieving letter?
Thanks and waiting...

Hi Everyone,
Is there anyone from this forum who could let me know if I don't get the relieving letter, can I ask for my experience certificate (2.4 Years Experience)? My current working company needs a letter confirming my employment in my old company and designation. I asked my HR about my experience certificate, but he says that they cannot provide me with the experience certificate or any letter regarding my employment in the company. Please let me know what to do in this regard.

Hi Sashi,
I'm surprised how people play with someone's career...anyways, why didn't you submit another copy of the medical certificate or prescription? If you don't have it, you can retrieve it from the hospital/clinic where you received the treatment.
Now, coming to the second query, the company cannot deny an experience certificate even if they have terminated you. They have no right to eliminate your 2.4 years of experience. So, talk to the HR people again. If they deny it once more, you can seek legal help.
Apart from all this, you can show the appointment letter, salary slips, and bank statements to confirm your employment with this company... it will surely work.

Hi Archana,
I spoke with HR people again. They say that according to policy, they won't rework on my case as they have marked me as absconding and terminated me. I am requesting them for my experience letter, not the relieving letter. The present company requires any letter from the previous employer confirming that I worked at the previous company at any cost. I am completely lost, not sure what to do next. Please help me in this regard ASAP.
Thank you,
Shashi
