Dear Rima,
As the size of the company increases, they tend to divide the responsibilities (among the HR team for HR processes), hence the employees specialize in IR, General HR ops, Recruitment or HRD.
You need to decide in which sub group you would like to gain experiance. Since you are a fresher, it would be highly useful to you if you gain newer modern mgt. techniques at an early stage in your career. This would help you to work for software companies.
On the other hand if you decide to take up the manufacturing company, you can specialize in Industrial Relations and general HR operations. IR would be inevitable as there are more IR issues in a manufacturing concern.
My personal view is that you should take up the option of working with the consultancy wherein you would gain exposure to new HR interventions.
Regards,
Santosh

Hi Rima.
I think that you should go in the manufacturing job offer where your profile is of general HR.
It will give you lot of learning in the starting and you will come in contact with many new things. Once you enter in the consultantcy field then its very difficult for the person to enter in the manufacturing field for the job..
The best judgement can be taken by you once u make clear what you want in life nd wer u wants to achieve.

I will not make much of a difference in another few years.
