I want to know how to maintain the leave register in the factory. How do we enter holidays in it? What salary should we put in the columns? Which leave do we calculate based on that salary? How do we carry forward leaves in it?

Please clarify all these questions related to leaves.

Hi Lokesh,

You have to purchase a separate leave muster for that. Before that, you have to know the policy of the company regarding paid leave and casual leave. Paid leave means the employee can enjoy the wages on the day they are absent but is subject to the limit of paid leave. Casual leave, on the other hand, means the employee is unable to enjoy the wages. Only paid leave can be carried forward but is also subject to conditions. For example, if the company has a policy to lapse paid leave when it exceeds the limits of 45 or 50 days, then carry forward is restricted to 45 or 50 days; otherwise, it all lapses.

You can calculate the salary on paid leave but not on casual leave.
