Dear Srinivas,
Compensation structures differ from organization to organization in order to save tax, but let me give you a general bifurcation.
Basic is 30%
HRA is 30%
Conveyance is 25% (or Rs 800)
Medical is 10%
Others are 5%
Also, LTA is 5% of annual CTC or a maximum of Rs 75,000, whichever is lower.

Hi, Conveyance allowance is 25% of basic salary or gross salary? also let me know if it is mandatory 25%. Because i have heard it is always 800 for all the salary structures. Thanks

This is Sarfaraz, joined a new growing company. Please let me know the actual percentage (%) of Conveyance Allowance and deductions on which amount, either CTC or Basic salary.
I am already aware of the conveyance allowance amounts, which are Rs. 1600/- for normal employees and Rs. 3200/- for handicapped employees.
If two employees have salaries of Rs. 8000/- and Rs. 12000/-, how do we calculate their conveyance allowance? Is there a standard formula for this calculation? Kindly guide me.
