Dear Muralidharan,
Average working hours in a week should not exceed 48 hours. In case it exceeds, then overtime needs to be paid. Overtime cannot be for more than 3 hours, and this should include breaks. On a given day, a person should not work more than 10.50 hours, and this must include breaks; no continuous working should exceed 5 hours. Therefore, for a 5-day working week, the per day working hours will be 9 hours, including breaks, and for a 6-day working week, it will be 8 hours, including breaks.
Regards,
Sachin
