PT slabs are different in different states because they come under state government jurisdiction. In Delhi & NCR, there is no PT as all salaried individuals are highly influential & closely related to politicians (Lighter side). For the benefit of members, I am attaching the PT slabs for 5 states where we are having business operations.

As per my knowledge,

PT Rs. Salary/Wages up to 2500 per month Nil. 2501 to 3500 per month 60. 3501 to 5000 per month 120. 5001 to 10000 per month 175. More than 10000 per month 200 (max).

It is also considered that if the salary/wages per month exceed 10000 in every month, PTax deduction in the month of February of every year is Rs. 300/-. In other words, the maximum PTax that will be deducted in a year is Rs. 2500 (200 per month from March to January & 300 for the month of February).

Hi,

I think the Ptax slab attached for 5 states (xls by ajsaheb) is not the updated one. As far as I know, the minimum salary to be eligible for Ptax deduction for Kolkata is now Rs. 3,000/- and not Rs. 1,500/-.
