It depends on the surroundings and various policies and their active implementation, but we can enlist some of them:

- Compliance with payment of wages
- PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Canteen, its housekeeping, quality of food, etc.
- Leave rules
- Late coming
- Rate of overtime in case of OT on paid holidays if the factory runs 24/7 and is in a continuous process
- Local impact
- Restrooms, lockers, washrooms, and cleanliness
- Drinking water

These are the common problems that arise on a day-to-day basis. This is in Maharashtra, but these issues are omnipresent.

Mr. Anil has rightly quoted. These issues are omnipresent. I would like to add one or two more.

Language and Respect on the Shop Floor

Mostly, the language of supervisors on the shop floor also matters a lot. Check for the same. Many times, it also happens that the workers are of higher age and the supervisors/officers are of lower age. At such times, the language, especially respectful words, need to be used, or it unnecessarily becomes a prestige issue.

Do write to us if similar issues are there.
