Hi Apeksha,

Salary structure normally varies from city to city and company to company. But in general terms, below are a few instructions to follow while preparing the salary structure:

Basic = (40% of monthly gross figure arrived from: Total CTC - Annual Performance bonus/incentive (if any) - Noncash Items)

HRA = 40% of Basic + DA (if applicable) for Non-Metro Cities & 50% of Basic + DA for Metro Cities.

Attire = 300 p.m

Conveyance = 800 p.m

Child Education Allowance = 200 p.m

Medical = 1250 p.m

Special Allowance = Remaining amount of total monthly gross

Addition: Monthly non-cash value

Addition: Annual payouts

Total monthly gross + Non-cash + Annual payout gives you Total CTC back.

Kindly revert if you still have any queries.

Hi,

For a typical salary structure, we have:
- Basic (40-60%)
- HRA (40% for non-metro and 50% for metro cities)
- Conveyance - $800 (fixed)
- Medical Reimbursement - $1250 (fixed)
- LTA - one month basic
- Special allowance - Gross - (basic + HRA + conv. Medical All. + LTA)
- Gross + Employer contribution towards PF, ESI, and Gratuity = CTC.

Hope this will help you.
