Hi,
Thank you for replying. To start with, I am working for SAP company. The target audience is the employees of our company. Since these people go for projects on the client's side, they should be presentable and good in communication. Therefore, we need to train them on communication skills and personality development, which includes body language. I need to prepare a training program to cover all these aspects mentioned above.
Thanks once again,
Richa

Ok, looking at your reply, I see that you are basically interested in a training program that makes your trainees aware of best practices in communication and body language, right?
I am putting down an outline of a training program, and this should be sufficient to help you design a presentation on it. Please write back to me to let me know how you found it and if any further assistance is required.
OUTLINE for Communication Program:
Introduction (Communication as a skill)
Why learn communication skills (Benefits and what's in it for the trainees)
Research Diagram of how much communication affects our effectiveness (Words, Tone, Attitude, Body language)
Truths about effective communication (Here you can add some case studies or personal examples)
Difference between informal and formal communication
The flow of communication (You can chart out a flow of the communication process, which consists of elements like: Sender, Formulation of message, Channel, Delivery method, Receiver, Perception, Understanding, Response, and again perception and understanding of sender)
Barriers to effective communication (Internal and external) e.g. Internal Agitation or frustration due to bad news or a bad day; External factors like constant ringing of mobile phones, environment, etc.
Tips for overcoming the barriers
Tips on effective communication (like note-taking, rephrasing, summarizing, asking questions to understand needs, active listening, smiling, etc.)
Body Language:
What is body language?
Basics of body language (gestures, postures)
Hand and Arm Gestures and interpretation
Legs and Lower body gestures and interpretation
Head and shoulder gestures and interpretation
Overall clusters of gestures and postures and their interpretation
Tips on best practices
Tips on converting a negative posture into a positive one
I guess with the above outline, you would be able to manage to make an effective presentation that would impress your trainees, and they will appreciate the skills they acquire due to your efforts. You can use some activities, exercises, and role plays to enhance your training experience.
Regards,
Himanshu

Hey Sonal,
Please go through the guidelines provided in the reply and the PowerPoint presentation given. It would definitely help you to prepare something.
Actually, our company hired an agency to do the same for us. However, I did modify and prepare something which is not available with me at this point in time. But I will post it soon.
Thanks and Regards,
Richa 😀

Hi Himanshu,
I had finished writing a thank you mail when I got disconnected, but that did not stop me from going through the whole ordeal of logging in, etc., just to thank you. The guidelines you sent to Richa are very good—very easy and engaging for trainees. THANK YOU for such wonderful work. If you can send some more on other soft skill topics, kindly send them to me at my email ID. I'll be greatly obliged to you as I myself am a trainer, not a learned one, but an enthusiastic trainer who has come a long way through experience and enthusiasm combined with a lot of hard work. Thank you once again.

Hi Himanshu,
I am a software engineer. I face problems with my poor behavior and talking style at the workplace. Though I am technically good and sound, because of my behavior, I am being neglected and disrespected by people. I feel people get bored with me.
I would appreciate if you could suggest any training or practice by which I can improve myself.
Thanks!
