Hi,

I need some help in understanding the incentive distribution system in HR. For instance, we have different sources of recruiting people - portals, leads, and internal references. Now, if an employee is referring someone, does HR still earn any incentive for that? If not, then what motivates them to promote internal references? I hope I made myself a bit clear and did not confuse you. Please suggest or feel free to ask if you need some more clarification on my question.

Thanks,
Mayank

Hi,

In the case of internal references, if the HR recruiter has taken pains to identify the person referring the new potential candidate, then he/she would be entitled to an incentive amount (albeit not fully, maybe partly).

More on request.

Hi,

An HR recruiter should not be allowed any incentive for just one reason, namely, it is his basic job profile. A regular employee is not supposed to recruit; hence, the employee referral scheme exists so that he gets compensated for helping the organization in something which is not part of a job.

Coming back to the HR recruiter - he can be given targets like a salesperson who earns based on the number of sales or revenue achieved. Only under this condition would the recruiter be allowed an incentive. I have taken a few things for granted like integrity in claiming incentives, giving proper credit to resume sources, and so on.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ryan
