not to worry about complex process. these process are complex for those only who dont know about the process.
bring a form from prev employer.
Form 13
Form 13 is used for transferring an employee AC from one company to another. Both employer and employee have to specify his name, PF AC no, Position etc and submitted with a covering letter (consolidated list of employees). Photocopy of the above is kept in PF file for transfer.

Dear Friend,
It is not that much difficult process i think your consultant may not be aware of P.F transfer.
you just give Form No. 13 to your current employer, after completation of necessary formarlities your employer would forward to P.F office.
After that P.F dept.will send a letter to your previous employer regarding your Form 3A, From 5, Form 10 and Continues of service certificate on letter head etc. After received the same from your previous employer they will start doing the process for transfer of your P.F accumulations to your current P.F account.
as per your concern you just need to submit Form 13 which can be download from EPFO website.

Dear Collegue,
I fully agree with Devesh, telekapalli.
It is alsways advisable to transfer PF rather than withdrawing. If your PF Account remains contineous inspite of the fact you change as many employer you want, the real benefit one get is with regards to Pension. Hence, pl do as recommended by Devesh and telikepalli.
Its our money hence we have to have a strong follow up to ensure that the PF Accumulation gets transferred from One employer to other when we do so.

I have been doing a serious study on the subject.
PF withdrawal is definitely simpler than PF transfer but again one has to have the complete understanding of the entire process & benefits.
PF transfer is the best option if one would like take the complete benefit of pension. That is best suitable for those who are not changing their company's frequently. As we can avail the pension (EPF) only if there is is continuous service of 10 yrs which means that even if you are changing the company you are getting your PF transfered to the next company without any significant gaps.

Rohan,
Your PF account no. will keep on changing with the companies. But, your amount can be transfered to the new company easily.
Since it is a hard earned money every individual must take the initiative & the responsibility to understand the process for the transfer/withdrawal process. It is not fifficult to understand the same.
In case your transfer/withdrawl is in process, you can even lodge the grievance on the [B][COLOR=Blue]http://epfigms.gov.in] portal and can check the status.
I have myself lodged the grievance and got my EPF transferred from Gurgaon to Delhi through mails.
