Hi,

Please help me understand how to project salary hike. Is there any specific formula for it, or is it just a simple calculation involving looking at the fixed CTC, benefits, bonus amount, taking an average of the hike percentage in the last n number of years, and then based on the average hike percentage, doing the projection?

Also, what factors could influence salary hike apart from performance rating, company performance, and market conditions? How do companies calculate what hike percentage one should be given at the time of making an offer?
