Is the EPF Act 1952 Changing? Curious About New Rules for Smaller Workplaces?

Hi everyone,

Is there any amendment to the EPF Act 1952 which states that EPF would be applicable to all factories and establishments employing more than 20, thereby reducing to 10?

No, there is no such amendment to date in the Provident Fund regarding coverage of 10 employees. If you wish to cover your establishment, you can opt for voluntary coverage.

Furthermore, there is a new amendment/notification in the P.F. that no PF will be deducted on leave encashment. I am enclosing the letter from the P.F. department.

One more thing is there... It is not an amendment but a new clause. If you want to withdraw your PF, then the SSN form is required to be filled up along with Form NO. 19 & 10C.
