Dear All,

If someone worked or traveled for company work outside the country on national holidays, should they be allowed compensatory leave? Kindly guide me.

Hi,

Compensatory leave is paid time off for an eligible employee who has worked additional hours in a workweek, worked on an official office closing day, a holiday, or a scheduled day off, or when a holiday falls on an employee's scheduled day off.

Thanks

Compensatory Holiday is a must if an employee is required or allowed to work on the declared holiday.

Exactly, we can utilize the compensation while working on holidays/national holidays. However, in some organizations, this facility is not provided to managerial-level employees.

Hi, kindly explain to me how to adjust compensatory leave in the leave record. Should I increase the opening balance (CL or EL), or should I mention it in a separate column?
