In these state rules, you will find a schedule that contains the model standing orders. These model standing orders vary from state to state. Dear Sandhya Khare,

The Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Rules do not provide different model Standing Orders for different industries/establishments. Therefore, go through your State Rules for preparing a draft SO for your unit along the lines of the State Model SO for certification. The procedure is also laid down for how to certify these draft SO from the State Certifying Officer in these Rules.

Please review Schedule I regarding Model Standing Orders under the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Punjab Rules, 1949. These Model Standing Orders are to be utilized by all industrial establishments covered under the I E (S.O) Act, 1946 and are situated in Punjab and Haryana. Thus, these Rules do not provide specific Model Standing Orders for manufacturing units.

As our friends have already mentioned, the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act contains a specimen model of standing orders in the annexure. It is generally applicable to all industries/establishments that do not have their own standing orders. A copy of the same is attached herewith.
