Dear Meera, How can any member be interested in helping you provide support in the formats of different registers unless they know under which law you are required to maintain these registers? As you have seen from Mr. Naveen's query, no one has attempted so far. After finalizing the Act and rules under which you are to maintain these registers, you should go through that particular Rule to see whether you can maintain that register in an Excel sheet or if you are required to have permission from any competent authority to maintain these registers in an Excel sheet. In Haryana, if the registers are required to be kept under the Punjab Shops and Establishment Act, then under Rule 6, we are required to maintain these registers in legible ink. The government has not made any amendments so far in this era of IT. Therefore, put in some effort at your own level to understand and finalize the matter at hand after going through different Acts and Rules.
