holidays to be declared for notified national & selected festival holidays for every year and payment with regard to those declared holidays.

We do not have any Act in the name of national holiday act in our set of labour laws. you might be interested in Punjab Industrial Establishment (National & Festival and Casual & sick Leaves) Act, 1965. Plz be specific in your query giving the exact name of Act.

I would like to check if a retail showroom wishes to operates on a National Holidays 26th January / 15th August / 2nd October.
Where from the permission has to be obtained for this and what is the impact of working on employees who worked on national holidays with regard to compensatory off / additional wages etc.
