One Day Picnic Ideas

Hello,
I have to arrange for 1 day picnic in on 5th Jan 08 for our company.
We dont want to go any of the resorts.
suggest places which will be better to visit in the month of Jan.

We have also organised one day picnic next week. We are going to Chokidhani near Wagholi. If you have more than 80 people they will offer some discount.

Below options for picnics ex-mumbai(assuming ur co. is in mumbai & not pune)
Bhandardara near igatpuri is a good place having mtdc dormitary and rooms. Travel time 4 hrs 1 way
Another good location would be kashid beach 35 kms ahead of Alibaug. And a novel way of going to this place can be take a launch from Gateway of india to alibaug and arrange for a vehicle from alibaug to kashid and back. Travel time 2 1/2 hrs ex-Gateway of india

2. Karla Caves on the way to Pune.
3. Elephenta Caves
4. Shaputara in Gujarat about 4 hrs drive from Mumbai
5. Mount Abu in Gujarat which is near from Ahmedabad station but it is not a
one day picnic spot.
6. Dudhni in Silvassa about 2 1/2 hrs drive from Mumbai.
7. Jhamput Beach in Daman about 2 1/2 hrs drive from Mumbai
8. Kelva Beach near Palghar about 2 hrs drive from Mumbai.

e) Fort Rajmachee / Dhak near Lonavala.
f) Nag-Phani or Dukes Nose near Khandala.
g) Fort Korigad near Amby Valley.
h) fort Lohagad / Tung / Tikona near Pawna dam backwaters.
i) Fort Purandar or Rajgad or Torna near Pune - 50 to 80 kms range.
j) Panshet or Varasgaon backwaters area.
k) Mulshi backwaters.
l) Tamihini area (90 kms)
m) Jejuri area.
n) Vadhu - Koregaon area on Nagar road.
and no of such combinations depends upon the activities / distance / cost.
