Hello,

I have to arrange a one-day picnic on the 5th of January 2008 for our company. We don't want to go to any resorts. Please suggest places that would be better to visit in the month of January.

Thank you in advance.

Dear meghana, We have also organised one day picnic next week. We are going to Chokidhani near Wagholi. If you have more than 80 people they will offer some discount. Thanks Prachi

Below are options for picnics from Mumbai (assuming your company is in Mumbai and not Pune).

Bhandardara near Igatpuri is a good place with MTDC dormitory and rooms. Travel time is 4 hours one way.

Another good location would be Kashid Beach, which is 35 kilometers ahead of Alibaug. A unique way to reach this place could be to take a launch from Gateway of India to Alibaug and arrange for a vehicle from Alibaug to Kashid and back. Travel time is 2 1/2 hours from Gateway of India.

7. Jampore Beach in Daman, about a 2 1/2-hour drive from Mumbai
