How to Resolve Pending KYC Approval for Provident Fund Withdrawal Despite Bank Approval?

One of our staff members has updated his KYC for the Provident Fund, but it is still showing as pending approval from the bank's end. Whenever I speak to the bank official, he confirms that it has been approved on their side and the employee's name is also printed on the passbook. However, the online status still shows as pending and the withdrawal is not happening. How can we facilitate his Provident Fund withdrawal?

The situation you're facing is quite common and can be resolved by following these steps:

1. First, confirm with the bank that the KYC details have been correctly updated and approved. Ask them to provide a written confirmation if possible.
2. Next, ensure the employee has correctly updated his KYC details in the EPF portal. The details in the bank and the EPF portal should match exactly.
3. If the bank has confirmed and the details are correctly updated in the EPF portal, but the status is still showing as pending, then it might be a technical issue. In this case, raise a grievance at the EPFO grievance portal. You can do this by visiting the https://epfigms.gov.in/ website.
4. After raising the grievance, you should receive a response within 15-30 days. If the issue is still not resolved, you can escalate it to the regional PF commissioner.

Remember, the process can take some time, so patience is key. Once the KYC status is approved in the EPF portal, the employee should be able to withdraw his PF without any issues.
