One of my friends asked for a release from a project in January this year. He thought that they had released him from the project, and he is on the bench. Usually, before that, with the same company, while he is in between projects, they have reached him and assigned a project, so he is waiting for them to reach out again, and he is searching for opportunities outside the organization. Since the market is a bit sideways, he is not getting any other opportunity.
In July, they reached out to him, saying he is still mapped with the previous project code, which is why no one is reaching him for project allocation. Now they are putting the blame on my friend, stating he has intentionally done this, and it is a code of conduct violation and all. Now what are his options, and how can he fight himself out of it? Thanks for your time.
