Navigating Fake Experience: How to Be Honest About My Past and Verify Future Job Offers

pranav-kulkarni3651578
Hello, I joined a company this past year and have completed over one year of genuine experience in an analyst/executive role. However, upon joining, I misrepresented my experience by claiming three years of fake experience as a data analyst. Here is the breakdown:

- 3 years (fake) | 4.8 LPA | no PF
- 1 year (genuine) | 8 LPA

Now, I am contemplating how many years I should continue working in this company. Should I decide to switch, I intend to be truthful about my experience without including the fake years. Additionally, I seek advice on how to verify the role and salary offered by prospective employers and how to justify receiving a high salary as a fresher. I would greatly appreciate guidance on the best course of action to take in this situation.

Hi, it is not as easy as removing a stain on your shirt.

For 1 year of experience, 8 LPA cannot be justified. It is better to continue with your current employer for a considerable number of years to gain real-time experience. However, remember that your salary will also be revised annually.

Without knowing the salary benchmark for a data analyst/executive in the industry, we can't comment on exactly how many years you should continue.
