Hi all, I am from Gujarat and working as an HR Manager in an IT company with 70 employees and staff. I have a question related to the labor welfare fund. We pay it every 6 months, but I don't know the actual purpose of it and why we need to comply with this rule when there is no benefit to employees, and still, we deduct the amount. The amount is significant, but when someone asks me why it is deducted, I am not able to give them a satisfactory reply about why that Rs. 6 was deducted and what benefits they will get.
