Absconded from Job and Paid Settlement, But Still No Relieving Letter – What Should I Do?

-K-
I joined an MNC company in December 2021, but due to personal reasons, I had to abscond from the company in June 2022. I informed my Team Leader (TL) and my manager about the circumstances and left without serving any notice period.

After a few months, I received a Full and Final Settlement notice from the company stating that I was liable for not serving the notice period. Subsequently, they sent me a legal court notice reiterating the same.

I then paid the full and final settlement and sent the proofs to the provided email address; however, I have yet to receive any response from their side. I have received the experience letter, Form 16, and pay slips from the company portal, but the relieving letter is still pending.

What should I do?

Hi, you should contact your HR with a copy of the payment details made and check with them for your requirements.

Experience Certificate and Relieving Orders

The experience certificate indicates the end date of your employment, and thereafter, you stand fully relieved. Many organizations don't issue relieving orders separately in cases of abandonment.
