I support the previous member. The FMCG company is expected to be ready with the projects for the summer interns. If the HR professional of that company or the summer intern themselves come to the public forum and start asking, it reflects poorly on the company.
Anyway, FMCG companies have to spend a huge amount on sales and marketing. Therefore, the intern may be tasked with gathering information on the cost components of either sales or marketing. Otherwise, the summer intern may be given a questionnaire to understand consumer preferences regarding their own products or the products of their competitors.
