How Should I Handle HR Withholding My Appraisal Because I'm Leaving the Company?

mridul-prasher
Hello all, I joined my company on 5th April 2021 as a trainee and underwent 6 months of training. During this period, the management delayed my training by 2 months, but I managed to transition to a full-time position by 1st December 2021. As of 1st December 2022, I completed my first year with the company. As per the company policy (as communicated to me), employees are eligible for an appraisal after 3 months, and any retroactive amount is included in the following 2 months' salary. However, for reasons unknown to me, HR discovered that I am leaving my job, leading them to withhold my appraisal.

I am unsure how to address this situation, as my manager has already engaged with HR, but they have not provided a satisfactory response.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.

Hi, if you have not submitted your resignation yet, it means you are a regular employee and are continuing with them. Please check with HR for information regarding any potential increments. Assumptions should not be made based on moves that are not valid.

We do not work for your organization, so we cannot "help you out" as we do not know what is in HR's mind. This is a matter you need to resolve with management in your company. Make an appointment to see a senior HR manager and try to negotiate an amicable arrangement in this matter.
