Confessed that he had given a Fake Experience certificate and Written Acceptance Mail to the Team and HR

One of my friends gave a fake experience certificate to a reputed IT company. His background verification failed, and he confessed that he had provided a fake certificate and wrote an acceptance email to the team and HR. What will happen next? Is he in trouble?

Dear member, Upon the discovery of the fake employment certificate and the candidate's admission of the fakery, the company will blacklist the candidate. The candidate will be permanently placed on the "negative list" in the company records. However, your friend can approach other companies by submitting genuine employment documents or academic certificates. If he believes that being blacklisted by one company will result in being blacklisted by all other companies, then this assumption is unfounded.

Thanks,

Can the company impose any penalties, as it has admitted in the email, or pursue a police case?

Dear member, The candidate committed forgery, and he has admitted to his misconduct. However, most companies don't have the time and energy to file a police complaint. Secondly, the candidate is not an employee. Therefore, under which section or act can the police book the candidate?

Nevertheless, the incident serves as a lesson for the candidate to learn. Deception and falsehood eventually collapse. Regardless of the perpetrator's status, the consequences remain unchanged.

Thanks,

He has worked for a month and received his salary. After one month, a background verification (BGV) issue happened. So, can it create a problem?

Thanks
