Hi People, I'm in a very tense state of mind and need some objective help. I have around six years of IT experience, including a B.Tech.
I recently resigned and requested the manager and HR for relief due to personal and health issues, and I was relieved 50 days earlier than the serving notice period. I cleared or returned IT assets, received a resignation acceptance email from HR, and filled relevant timesheets.
Main question:
Since I served very little time (HR casually mentioned once that I won't get an experience letter, background verification will fail, this six months of experience with the firm is useless, and later she was asking me to serve for two months, but I served only 10 days).
I had to take leave without pay due to family or personal issues. I mentioned the same, and I wrote all good things about the firm in the exit interview. However, they marked me as not eligible for rehire.
HR mentioned I will receive the full and final settlement in 45 days from the last working day. She didn't mention that I might have to buy out the notice period. But when I reviewed the contract, something open-ended is mentioned.
Would I need to pay a substantial amount for an experience letter, relieving letter, and a good background verification?
Please, please tell me, people.
