Terminated During Notice Period: How Can I Secure My Full and Final Settlement?

anish-thakur1
Hi, my name is Anish. I was working for a BPO and had an approved leave of 8 days during my resignation period. While on my way to my hometown, the Team Leader texted me that my leave had been rejected and that I had to come to the office no matter what. I continued to travel to my hometown, but upon returning to the workplace, I was informed that I had been terminated without any official confirmation. I was also in the notice period. Please guide me on what I should do to get my Full and Final (FnF) settlement from this situation.

Hi, normally, taking a long leave of more than a week is not advisable during the notice period as the purpose of the notice period is to hand over responsibilities. If it is unavoidable, have you informed your superior that you will extend and compensate for the notice period? Anyway, after approval, canceling leave is not appropriate. You can request your employer for approval to plan the travel and also express your willingness to compensate for the extended period.

If all these things happen as per the paper/evidence, then you can approach/ask for a final settlement.
