Facing a Pending Accident Case: Will It Affect My Job Offer with an MNC? What Should I Do?

I have a pending accident case against me for the last 5 years (2018-2022). Just now, I received a hearing call from the court. In my case, after the accident, the person was hospitalized for one week, and sadly, she passed away. I am now about to join an MNC company, and the background verification process is about to commence. After the verification, what will happen? Will the MNC accept me? What should I do?

In my opinion, the pendency of a criminal case should not be a disqualification for any appointment. Furthermore, it is an accident case that can only be decided by the court after a full trial, the result of which cannot be predicted now. Had the poster mentioned the pending case in their application for the job or during the interview, I think there would not be any problem as of now.
