Dear Member,

Earlier the Act was applicable on 20 or more employees for all the states.

But in recent years, some states have been Amended the terms from 20 to 50.

Pls confirm to which state you are asking for?

Since you have posted the query from Delhi, let me tell you in Delhi it is applicable on 20 or more employees.

The Act has not been amended to make the CLRA Act applicable to those who engage 50 or more contract labours but the chapter XI of the proposed Occupational Health, Safety and Working Conditions Act which deals with contract labour applies only to those establishments which engage 50 or more contract labours.
