Dear all,
This is a news item published in today's TOI. I would like to state the following:
1. A sitting judge of the Supreme Court says that discrimination in the private sector must stop. But then, how many of us are aware that discrimination exists or even know what discrimination is?
2. The private sector can curb discrimination on its own. Should they wait for the government to make legislation?
3. HR professionals often talk about their favorite subjects like leadership, employee engagement, or the newly introduced glamorous topic of LGBTQ, but not much on anti-discrimination policies in their company.
4. An ordinary private limited company may not have the know-how to implement an anti-discrimination policy in their company. Therefore, will national HR bodies like NHRD, NIPM, etc., take the lead and create policy guidelines to guide these companies?
Thanks,
