Navigating Provident Fund: How Can I Withdraw or Transfer My PF After Resignation?

color_boy
Hi,

I resigned from my old company last August. Now, I would like to know the process regarding my PF amount. Can I withdraw the amount or transfer it to another account? Please provide me with the necessary information. Additionally, any value-added suggestions are welcome.

Thank you,
Praveen Kumar

Hi Praveen,

You may withdraw or transfer your PF amount. If you have joined somewhere else, then you may ask for the transfer of your PF amount. Otherwise, if required, you may withdraw the fund by filling the withdrawal form 10C and 19.

Amit Seth.

Hi,

While the transfer appears good, there is a problem that the old PF account may not be transferred effectively in time. By that time, you may leave the present and move on to the next. My colleagues had a bitter time not knowing which one to follow up with.

So, it's better to close the PF account every time whenever you switch over to a new company. If the PF account of the same state is this complicated, then think of the interstate PF transfer. Good heavens...! It's better to be a consultant and be free from PF claim headaches.

Withdrawal has always been a challenge. They should abolish it if it proves to be a nightmare because our money is also lying in the dark.

Good luck, dear!!

Please don't withdraw your PF. This is your life savings. Now there is no confusion. While joining, you have to give your PF number to transfer. That's it.

I had resigned from my old company in the year 1995 and joined a new company in January 1996. Both companies are depositing the P.F. amount in their own trusts. My P.F. account in the old company was not transferred or withdrawn to date. Can I withdraw the amount? Please provide me with proper guidance.

Hi,

I need suggestions regarding my PF. I resigned from my company, but I have a 3-year bond, and I served 1 year before resigning. Do I have to pay the bond to retrieve my PF?

Hi,

I need suggestions regarding my PF as I have resigned from my job. I did not serve the notice period in my old office and joined the new office without being relieved from the previous one. Now, I want to claim my PF amount. Is it possible to apply for PF without my old company's help? If yes, please provide the application method.

Thank you.

Hi,

Can anyone let me know how I can withdraw my PF if my company has shut down its office? I was working in a private company two years ago and went abroad for work. I want to withdraw my PF, but I found out that they have closed. There is no company now.

Kindly let me know the procedure.

Thanks

Dear Mr. SK,

Please fill out withdrawal forms 10c and 19, include your PF number, have it signed by any authorized officer, and submit it to the PF office or visit your PF branch office.

Dear Madhav,

You are required to get the withdrawal forms 10C & 19 filled out with the resigned employee and submit them to the PF department after 60 days of the candidate leaving the service.

Hi,

This is Rajiv Ranjan. I have been working in a private organization since June 2002. However, in 2006, I resigned from the organization and applied for the withdrawal of PF. Unfortunately, I have not received it yet. Could you please suggest what I should do in this situation?

Regards.
Amitmhrm
Dear Rajeev,

You have not clarified when you submitted the withdrawal forms. Generally, it takes 15 to 20 working days after submission with the PF department. Check the submission with your previous employer; it might have been returned due to some clerical error. You may also submit a newly filled-up form.

I have left my company, and there are some disputes with the same company, so they are not telling me anything about my provident fund status. Please suggest me.

Actually, one of my friends told me that I don't need to go to my last company where I used to work and I can claim the same from the concerned department in relation to such a matter. Is it right? Please suggest.
Narottam Raj
Dear Maria, you should contact your employer as soon as possible because normally PF withdrawal should occur within one month. It may be that your PF form was rejected.

Thank you.
