My Previous Employer is claiming that the signature on my relieving letter and other documents is not his

My previous employer is claiming that the signature on my relieving letter and other documents is not his. He is the CEO of my previous company and was my reporting manager. He signed all the documents himself and now he is denying it just to harass me. Due to this, my background verification has come back as red. My current employers want an email from the CEO again stating that the documents are genuine and the signature on them is his only, but the CEO is not cooperating.

What should I do?

Unbelievable! How can a person, especially a CEO of a company, deny his own signature? Did the poster receive any other documents, like an offer or appointment letter, signed by the same person?

Hi,

Looks very strange. Do you have any email communication confirming your relieving? Please check.

This indicates that there is some unresolved issue between you and your ex-employer. Resolve it amicably.

You have not provided proper and complete information. Why would a CEO and manager deny their signature? Did you forge it, or did you get someone else to make it for you? Or did you obtain the relieving letter by making false claims of some sort? What is your designation? Are you so important for someone to do such a thing to you?
