Employee Leaving Without Notice

In a case where an employee leaves their job without any prior intimation to the office and simply states the next day that they shall not be continuing any further, what are the company's rights and what action can be taken?

If you have provided an appointment letter and all terms and conditions are given in that, and you have taken a signed form from him, then you are liable to take action against him in case he leaves the job without giving any intimation.

Legal Actions for Breach of Bond by a Candidate

What action can we take if a candidate is under a bond and breaches it? How can we address this situation legally?
Dinesh Divekar
Dear member, if the "employee" (not the "candidate" as you have stated) has abandoned the employment, then follow the regular procedure of discipline. Issue the notice to report for the duties. If no reply is received or if the employee does not report for the duties, then issue one more notice. If still nothing happens, then order the domestic inquiry. If the employee fails to appear before the inquiry, then your company is free to take disciplinary action, which could be termination of the employment.

For Deepika Khanwilkar: We do not know the facts of the case. Anyway, you may refer to the following article: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/emplo...supriya-pawar/

Note of Disapproval: It is regrettable to find that the members do not understand the difference between a "candidate" and an "employee." Can there be anything more basic than this? One need not be an HR professional to know the difference between the two.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
