How to Handle Employment Overlap on UAN Portal When Applying for a New Job?

I was working for the 1st company. Due to some reasons, I decided to resign immediately without serving the notice period. After this, I joined the 2nd company as a fresher.

However, the 1st company provided my exit date on the UAN portal as September, while I actually joined the 2nd company in August. The thing is, I didn't receive any salary from the 1st company during August.

Should I highlight the overlap problem when applying to a 3rd company?

If I apply for a 3rd company, should I highlight this overlap problem? I can prove that it was the 1st company's mistake; I have emails stating that I didn't work from July, and I have bank statements. Should this justify that there is no overlap and it was just the 1st company's mistake since I don't have any documents from the 1st company?

Do companies check the UAN portal for background verification?

By the way, one more question: Do companies check the UAN portal for background verification?

It is advisable to present the facts to the proposed employer to avoid any future complexities. Clearly communicate this to HR during the HR interview. This is not a significant challenge. The only difficulty you may encounter is with PF transfers, which you should be mindful of.

If I don't show my experience with the first company on my CV and inform HR that I don't have documents from the first company, is it okay to hide that overlap in the UAN portal, or should I disclose it when applying for the third company? Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi All, I am working in an MNC company. During my background check, they found an additional PF account which I never mentioned in the BGC document. They are now asking me to provide information. The scenario is that I had an interview, got selected, and submitted all the documents with acceptance via a verbal telephonic conversation. However, I did not receive an immediate release from my current company and continued working there.

Now, I have discovered that the company opened a PF account in my name by mistake. They have since provided a letter of apology, and the PF account's start and end date is listed as the same: 1-1-2018.
