My actual last working day is falling on a Sunday, which HR refused to accept and asked me to resign a day earlier or later, i.e., Saturday or Monday. However, I am a rotational shift employee where Sunday is my working day, and all the HR personnel reside in the company township, which is adjacent to our manufacturing unit. If I leave one day early, I will miss out on a 1-day salary and will be 1 day short on the notice period as well.

Would this count as a full day working at the office? Is it considered half-day working and half-day leave or full-day leave on the last working day?
